Nancy O'Dell's broadcast career began as an anchor and journalist for WPDE-TV Myrtle beach, South Carolina. Later, she was morning news anchor for WCBD TV and acted as an investigative reporter. In Charleston O'Dell's stories on the lenient police approach towards DUI cases led to an State Law Enforcement Division investigation that resulted in states authorities again releasing a more stringent directive regarding these instances. Ms. O'Dell was recognized by her colleagues at the Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year Award all media South Carolina. Following her stint at Charleston, O'Dell worked as an anchor co-host for NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and also as an investigative journalist. Then she was hired by Access Hollywood to work as a weekday and weekend correspondent. O'Dell, in addition to being the anchor of Access Hollywood, also appears on NBC News Today as well Dateline NBC. She has covered major events like The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. In addition to co-hosting Pre-ShowArrivals for The Emmys & The Golden Globes. She also co-hosted the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
